My work is grounded in relational-psychodynamic and family-systems theories. Jargon aside, these frameworks emphasize the impact of our social experiences on our ideas and feelings—both conscious and not—about ourselves, others, and the world. By actively exploring the challenges that bring you to therapy within the context of your past and present interpersonal life, we uncover influences, beliefs, and patterns that no longer work. And then—with patience, fortitude, and good humor—we keep at it to discover what does.
